About Me

James Bailey: I have been working in the commercials/advertising industry for the past 5 years as a digital matte painter and concept artist at the moving picture company in London. During this time I have been lead matte painter on several internationally renown Broadcast projects while working in the commercials department. A core part of my role is to work closely with the 3d department and flame artists in the production & development of both stylistic/photo-real digital matte paintings for the TV commercials and music video industry . I have been fortunate to work alongside some very talented people and have learned a tremendous amount and have acquired the necessary experience to take a project through from the initial conceptual/look development stages to the finalised matte painting phase. I graduated with a Masters degree in Digital moving image from London Guildhall University in 2004 where I was introduced to the possiblities that digital image manipulation had to offer.
